We personally love winters as it makes us feel fresh and happy. The best thing about winter is cosy jumpers, boots, scarves and above all hot chocolate. But, sadly, our skin doesn’t like winters.

1. MOISTURIZE YOUR SKIN
Moisturize your skin right after you wash. Choose your moisturizer carefully and use oil-based moisturizer. Keep a bottle near the bathtub, shower stall, and on the dressing table. Use generously every time you wash.
2. PROTECT YOUR SKIN
Get used to wearing gloves and scarves to protect skin from cold winds and winter rain. Don’t forget to use washing gloves while doing dishes. Protect your skin from cold water.
3. DRINK WATER
We usually drink less water in the winter because of cold. But don’t forget that your skin needs hydration from the inside and out. A little warm water can be very hydrating for your skin and body.
4. OVERNIGHT MOISTURIZE
We generally apply moisturizer on face and hands. However, we neglect other parts of the body. Dryer areas like feet, elbows, knees and other areas of the body require a deep moisturizing at night. Wear cotton gloves and socks to seal in the moisture until morning.
5. COCONUT OIL
The use of organic coconut oil is heaven for any kind of skin. Coconut oil makes the skin softer and provides moisture to the skin naturally. It is rich in fatty acids. Apply coconut oil at night before going to bed.
6. USE DIY MASKS
Homemade hydrating masks are easy and quick to make. Use natural moisturizing ingredients like honey, bananas, olive and jojoba oils, almond oil, and aloe vera. Mix what you like together to create a paste and leave on skin for 10-30 minutes for lasting hydration.

7. LEMON AND HONEY

Mash the banana well and add the honey. Apply this on your face and keep it for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with water. It keeps the skin hydrated and using of banana will smoothen out fine lines and wrinkles.
9. HONEY AND RAW MILK
Mix honey and raw milk. Dip the cotton ball in this mixture and apply on your face and other dry areas of your body. Keep it for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with water. This mixture is best for the dry and flaky skin. It will also moisturize your skin.
10. SEASONAL FOOD
Don’t forget to eat seasonal foods such as oranges and carrots. Eating healthy food will make your skin and body hydrated naturally.
